Tart, fresh and a little sweet, the Wayward Sour is everything you're looking for on a warm summer afternoon.

Makes 1

2 oz Wayward Whiskey Rye
1 oz fresh lemon juice
1 oz simple syrup
1 egg white (optional)

Combine all ingredients in a shaker and dry shake for 10 seconds. Add ice and shake for additional 10 to 20 seconds. Pour over ice in a rocks glass & garnish with a cherry.
